Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 13 Oct 2026
- LocaVibe is only for adults aged 18 and over. Children are not allowed to use the Service.
- We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Report anything that involves a minor in the app (reason “Looks under 18”) or by email with the subject “Child safety”. If a child is in danger, call 999 first.
1. Our commitment
LocaVibe helps adults meet in person for group activities. Because meetups happen in real life, protecting children is a basic condition of running the Service. These standards apply to everyone who uses LocaVibe — users, hosts and partners — and to all content: profiles, photos, activities, messages, ratings, events and partner profiles.
2. What is prohibited
We prohibit any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers children, including:
- child sexual abuse material of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images;
- grooming — building contact with a minor in order to abuse or exploit them;
- sexualised comments about minors, or requests for images of minors;
- sextortion, trafficking or arranging to meet a minor;
- creating activities or events that invite minors, or bringing minors to adult meetups;
- sharing links to or promoting any of the above elsewhere.
3. How we prevent it
- Adults only. Everyone enters their date of birth at sign-up; people under 18 can’t create an account. The app is rated 18+ in the App Store. Nightlife activities are limited to people aged 21 and over.
- Human moderation. Moderators review reports, verification selfies and every partner event before it’s published.
- Automated filter. Names, bios, activities, messages, events and partner profiles are checked against a list of banned words in four languages.
- Automatic hiding. Content reported by three different users is hidden until a moderator has reviewed it.
- Limited private contact. Strangers can’t message each other privately: people talk in the group chat of an activity, and direct messages open only between approved participants of the same meetup once it has started.
4. How to report
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 (police).
- In the app: open the profile, activity, message or event, tap Report and choose Looks under 18 or Inappropriate content, and add details.
- By email: web.pro.farid@gmail.com with the subject “Child safety”. Please don’t attach or forward any abusive images — describe where you saw them instead.
Child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority and reviewed within 24 hours, usually much sooner.
5. What we do
- We remove the content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- If we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we suspend it and may ask the person to show they are an adult.
- We preserve the relevant information securely, for as long as the law requires, so that it can be provided to the authorities.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the competent UAE authorities, including Dubai Police, and to other competent authorities where required by law.
- We cooperate with law-enforcement requests made in line with applicable law.
6. Compliance with the law
We comply with the child-protection laws that apply to the Service, including UAE Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 on Child Rights (Wadeema’s Law) and the UAE laws on combating cybercrime, as well as the requirements of the App Store.
7. Child-safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety is Farid Mammadov, the developer of LocaVibe: web.pro.farid@gmail.com (subject “Child safety”). This contact is also available to authorities and organisations working to protect children.
